Darkness into Light

Lough Boora Discovery Park hosts an annual Darkness Into Light walk as part of the nationwide sunrise event supporting Pieta and its suicide‑prevention services. The event is organised by BnM and has become a meaningful tradition at the park, now running for its fourth consecutive year. Attendance has grown steadily, with over 400 participants taking part in the previous year’s walk.
Beginning before dawn, participants walk together through the park’s tranquil landscape, joining thousands across Ireland in a shared moment of reflection, solidarity, and hope. The Lough Boora location is noted for its special atmosphere at sunrise, offering a peaceful and symbolic setting for the event.
